GSI has signed the order of four MR tankers with Nanjing Tanker Corporation

    

On February 25, Guangzhou Shipyard International Co., Ltd(subordinated by China State Shipbuilding Corporation) welcomed the first significant order since the Chinese New Year and continued its lead with Nanjing Tanker Corporation and signed two 49,700DWT product oil tankers and two 49,500 DWT chemical/product oil tankers. Wang Hong, deputy general manager of China Merchants Group, and Sun Wei, deputy general manager of CSSC, attended the signing ceremony and witnessed the signing.
Zhou Bin, director and general manager of Nanjing Tanker Corporation, Wu Aijun, deputy general manager of CSTC, and Chen Zhongqian, chairman of GSI, signed the construction contract on behalf of the three parties. The ceremony was presided over by Chen Ji, general manager of GSI.
In his speech, Wang Hong stated that building a world-leading product oil fleet is an important strategic goal of China Merchants Group. This time, the four ships signed this time are the strategic choice for China Merchants Group to consolidate the No. 1 product oil fleet in the Far East and realize its leading competitiveness. It is expected that with the support of CSSC, we can jointly create more and better quality ships and inject new momentum into promoting the high-quality development of China's shipbuilding and offshore engineering and energy transportation industries.
Sun Wei delivered a speech for the ceremony. He said that this series of ships' cooperation is the crystallization of the strategic collaboration between the two parties. And it’s also a good start for each party. He hoped that China Merchants Group and CSSC would strengthen top-level communication and cooperation and use sincere cooperation to achieve industry success. A model of strong-strong collaboration contributes more to the construction of a new development pattern of "Dual Cycles".
Before the signing ceremony, the guests attending the delegation visited the GSI’s International Exhibition Hall.
After signing the contract, the group went to Longxue Mountain to watch the friendship tree planted during the first cooperation between the two parties. It implies evergreen collaboration and a win-win situation.
