上海船舶研究设计院（SDARI）成立于1964年，隶属于中国船舶工业集团公司，是目前我国民船设计领域规模最大、船型最丰富、市场占有率最高、人才队伍最稳定的研究设计单位之一。SDARI拥有一个全资子公司上海斯达瑞船舶海洋工程服务有限公司。

    SDARI现有员工500余人，各专业人才齐全，具备三维设计平台和各种先进软件。SDARI的服务范围涵盖了前期可行性论证、方案设计、基本设计、详细设计、直至生产设计的全过程。设计产品主要包括散货船、集装箱船、液货船、矿砂船、滚装/ 客滚船、多用途船、特种工程船、海洋工程辅助船、海洋工程作业船、海洋平台等。SDARI牵头组建智能船舶创新联盟，建立智能船舶实验室仿真中心，实现了联调实验室、船舶性能大数据中心、船舶性能监控和服务中心的建成。产业化产品涵盖扇形导管、节能毂帽、舱柜节能系统、螺旋桨设计打包、装载计算机、高效舵、侧推管口盖、对外消防系统集成和可调桨节能系统等产品。

    自建院以来，SDARI累计开发新船型1,000型。多次承担并出色完成国家重大科技攻关项目和重大技术装备攻关研制任务，截至2018年底，共获得国家、省部级和学会科技成果330项。

Established in 1964, Shanghai Merchant Ship Design & Research Institute (SDARI), member of the China State Shipbuilding Cooperation, CSSC, stands out as China’s first merchant ship design institute with the vastest variety of ship types, world’s leading technical edge, the most innovative and stable technical team along with the largest market share in domestic China. SDARI owns a wholly-owned subsidiary Shanghai SDARI Marine & Offshore Engineering CO.,LTD.

SDARI today boasts a team of more than 500 state certificated intermediate and advanced ship design engineers, most of whom proficient in both 2D and 3D design and various advanced software. Providing all-rounded technical services ranging from Feasibility Study, Conceptual Design, Basic Design, Detail Design to Production Design, SDARI’s products include Bulk Carriers, Container Vessels, Liquid Cargo Ships, Ore Carriers, RORO/ROPAX and MPVs, Specialized Engineering Vessels, Offshore Support Vessels, Offshore Engineering Vessels, Offshore Platforms, etc. Since her establishment, SDARI has developed a total of 1000 different vessels, successfully accomplishing various state level key projects and key equipment research assignments. By the end of 2018, SDARI has received 330 awards from provincial level or above.
